Croix Sather stops in Abilene on his way to running 100 marathons in 100 days
Man hopes to inspire with 100-marathon feat

Thirty-seven days ago, Croix Sather left San Diego on foot with a big dream: run the distance of 100 marathons in 100 days and inspire people along the way. He's one-third of the way through his mission, and so far, he's on track to meet his goal.
He ran his 37th marathon distance in the Big Country Tuesday afternoon after sharing his story at the West Central Texas Center for Economic Opportunity in downtown Abilene. He admitted the goal was lofty, but not unattainable.
"It's hard," he said, "it's very hard at times. The first couple, three weeks, it was excruciating."
