WHO IS THE MAN RUNNING ALMOST 3,000 MILES IN 100 DAYS?
Croix’s life began in a nondescript NYC suburb. He was a competitive swimmer until he was 14 years old when his life would change forever. Riding home on his bicycle, a drunk driver swerved to miss his friends. She never saw Croix and the speeding car hit him head-on, crushing the bike and launching him 50 feet before crashing into the ground. With his body mangled, he was rushed to the trauma center.
The Neurosurgeon said to his parents, “If he survives the night, he will be a vegetable for the rest of his life.” The doctor’s valiant efforts pulled Croix through. He spent almost four days in a comma, two weeks in the hospital, and more than a year in casts and going through physical rehabilitation. Debilitating headaches from his fractured skull lasted for years. And memory challenges persisted for two decades.
After the brutal car crash life was different. In a good school system, he was written off as a troublemaker and allowed to fall behind. He never went back to competitive swimming and his grades went in a downward spiral. Now bored, Croix drifted in an out of trouble. It was the love of his parents and the caring of a few teachers that reached out their hand to help, allowed Croix to complete school.
In his 20’s he was bored working for other people so he started a business in the residential construction trade in which he was raised. After a few successful years he became restless. He closed his business, sold his house split the money with his ex-wife and he traveled for a while. Because he “should be earning a decent living at a steady job” he went back to work. Still bored and searching for something better, he went back to school and earned a BA in Humanistic Communications in his 30’s.
As a matter of fate, while in school he was introduced to the world of personal development. He met hundreds of people at his first seminar that were also bored and restless. Like Croix, they were hungry and looking for more out of life, wanting a life imagined in their dreams. For the first time he met people who “got it” - who were kindred souls. People who were positive and full of possibility, and understood that the only limitations in life are the ones that are self-imposed. As a teen, he read personal development books and others ridiculed him. In this environment, Croix felt at home.
While attending the university, Croix began writing his first book. At the same time dabbling in several different careers, none of which fit him. His book, BetterBody BetterLife would then be published and Croix would continue his education in the areas of success psychology, hypnosis, NLP, and subconscious programming.
Ever since Croix has been on an intense journey of learning, growing and becoming, with a commitment to finding new strategies to change lives. Today he is an agent of massive change. As an author, radio show host, success hypnotherapist, and coach he is showing people how to create an extraordinary life. “Give me an afternoon and I will radically change your life.” Croix is known for his impactful change with subconscious reprogramming strategies and techniques.
Croix’s life today is as extraordinary as his story. He is four-time Ironman triathlete. His exuberant energy is now focused into positive and adrenaline rushing activities such as sky diving, scuba diving with sharks, fire eating, fire walking, as well as barefoot running, and a father of two. What’s next on his ‘bucket list’ after the run across the country? To bring Dream Big, Act Big around the world.
